Belgrade, December 15, 2006. MDF Assembly adopted Strategic Plan for 2007. Plan was presented in a form of “LFA - Logical Framework Approach”, which will make easier the way of tracking of the set objectives through activities defined for their realization and results intended to be achived.

Belgrade, November 29 – December 02, 2006. MDF took part as an exhibitor
at 5th International Entrepreneurship Fair Business Base at Belgrade
Fair in order to present its programs aimed primarily to entrepreneurship
development in its area of operation. In addition, new contacts with
potential investors and partners were initiated.
• Halifax - Canada, November 12-15, 2006. MDF Director at the Global
Microcredit Summit 2006. Participation of more than 2,000 delegates
from over 100 countries in assessing progress made toward the Campaign's
goal of reaching 100 million of the world's poorest people by the
end of 2005. New goal was set: working on that 175 million of the
world's poorest families, especially the women of those families,
are receiving credit for self-employment and other
financial and business services by the end of 2015. www.microcreditsummit.org
• Warsaw, October 18-20, 2006. MDF Director and Finance Manager attended course Financial Risk Management in MFIs organized by MFC from Poland and supported by Citigroup and Women's World Banking. MDF is in the process of developing Risk Management Framework for the purpose of improved risks controlling.
The Norwegian
Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for
2006, divided into two equal parts, to Muhammad Yunus and Grameen
Bank for their efforts to create economic and social development from
below. Lasting peace can not be achieved unless large population groups
find ways in which to break out of poverty. Micro-credit is one such
means. Development from below also serves to advance democracy and
human rights.
• Zrenjanin, September 21 – 23, 2006. MDF employees took active part at internal Seminar dedicated to operating and financial results for the previous months, actual events, as MDF plans for growth and development in the next period.
• Bela Crkva, 20 September 2006. MDF representative took part at II National Poverty Reduction Conference of the Government of the Republic of Serbia organized by Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS) implementation Focal Point responsible for PRS implementation process.
• Budapest, June 07-09, 2006. MDF representatives on Joint Annual MFC - EMN Conference titled ”Microfinance with a Mission: Learning Together”.
• Soko Banja, April 14, 2005. All MDF credit teem members attended internal training named “Assessment and analysis of credit rating of small enterprises” for the purpose of acquiring necessary skills for performing financial reports’ analyses and loans approving process.
• Soko Banja, April 13, 2006. MDF financial and operational business results for 2005, as plans for 2006 were presented, with a focus on all important area and activities of the organization. Assembly members – MDF employees accepted all presented business plans.
• Warsaw, January 16-20, 2006. MDF Director took active participation at Social Performance Management Training : Translatory the Mission into Practise, organized by MFC – Microfinance Network from Poland.
